Chengdu Shuangliu Airport’s Upgraded Smart Parking Ready for World Games
Created on 09.20
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport's quality improvement project – a key initiative of Sichuan Province – has achieved a milestone: the Terminal T2 parking lot and surrounding roads have passed completion acceptance. With 2,665 upgraded parking spaces, the hub has revamped its parking experience and traffic efficiency, gearing up for the 12th World Games.
After the successful smart upgrade of Terminal T1's parking lot, ACCESS TECH partnered with the airport again to upgrade T2's facility. Catering to its layout – which includes dedicated zones for social vehicles, ride-hailing cars and taxis, plus 38 entry and 39 exit lanes – the project integrated advanced hardware: 8MP license plate recognition machines (99.98% accuracy) and DZ155 high-speed barriers (0.6s response, 10 million fault-free operations). Combined with a digital management platform, this creates an efficient, unattended solution.
Dual recognition machines, strong-light recognition optimization and Redis caching enable barrier opening within 300ms, even during peak hours. Multiple payment options (WeChat, Alipay, UnionPay and offline) further boost traffic flow.
ACCESS TECH also built a local cloud-based control center for real-time monitoring, featuring AI license plate correction, remote barrier control and fault alerts. The system supports classified pricing for different vehicle types (VIP, staff, buses) and offers user-friendly backend functions like multi-dimensional reports. A data dashboard visualizes traffic volume, available spaces, 77-lane live feeds and alarms, empowering quick emergency responses.
As the World Games approaches, Shuangliu Airport's "smart hub" transformation blends Chengdu's historic charm with modern tech, promising global visitors a seamless travel experience.
